ROAD TRIP TO DEALS GAP, TN May 2009 Magee, MS to Townsend, TN. On the trip up it hailed on the trip back it rained every mile. While in the mountains the weather was great. |
|
Breakfast in Wears Valley. This moment could have been written into Wild Hogs. Junior is cleaning the bird poop off of his helmet and visor. What a mess!
The bikes for this trip are:
Marks Harley Ultra Classic 2009
Juniors Honda/Hannigan Trike 2005/2008
Mikes Victory Vision 2008 |
|
These two get to the top of the Newfound Gap and all they could do was complain about how the cold was hurting their hands. I told them that my hands were fine and they were just babies when it came to the cold. Later on that day they realized why my hands were not cold. My Vision has heated grips and their bikes do not. |

Even in the mountains we could not get away from traffic. Here we are waiting for construction crews to open the one lane so we can continue to Cherokee. |

|
On the Blue Ridge headed to Mt. Pisgah and lunch. |
|
Here we are at Deal Gap after riding the Dragon. 318 curves in 11 miles can’t wait to run it again! |

What can we say about the trip home. RAIN, RAIN, and more RAIN. It started just outside Townsend, TN and the sun finally came out as we came into the city limits of Magee, MS. During the five days we rode close to 2000 miles, can’t wait to do it again. |
